As we announced previously we have been looking into the question of bases for Confrontation resurrection: square, round, textured, smooth, every detail counts!
So, here's a sneak peek at the future bases for the range: round and textured as it's a more practical form that's easier to manipulate and decorate.
Rules wise, rest assured that we'll be making sure that the old square bases are perfectly compatible with the new system. For us a base is simply to ensure that the models stay upright on the table. Nothing more, nothing less so you won't need to revise your old models if you don't want to!

The qualities of Confrontation are many:
• It’s a skirmish format miniature wargame.
• It has two players face one another: 1 vs
1. But it’s also possible to have multiple
opponents face one another.
• Each player creates their army from a
points reserve.
• Each player fields, in the end, between 5
and 20 miniatures.
• Playing time is between 45 minutes and
2 hours, depending on the game format
chosen.
• And most importantly, Confrontation
offers great modularity, with the ability
to customize armies with artifacts, spells,
miracles, etc.
To learn and play Confrontation, you
simply need to get the rules, models (chosen
from among the hundreds contained in the
historic catalog), and an opponent.
As for the rest:
• A play area of 120x60cm (4 ft x 2 ft) with
some terrain.
• A measuring tape marked in centimeters.
• A few 6-sided dice.
• Game tokens.

What will the Kickstarter 2018 event box
contain?
At the start of the April Kickstarter, the
Confrontation Classic box will contain:
- The game rules.
- The 16 factions gathered in a single box,
and playable with a pool of points.
- Meaning 178 unique miniatures.
- Two complete Battle sets in order to set
up 2 simultaneous games, or one 4-player
game.
Of course, this box will be enhanced with all
of the stretch goals and bonuses unlocked
during the campaign: miniatures, terrain,
and other game materiel…
And importantly – some stretch goals will
be available separately, as Add-ons. The
details of these stretch goals will be unveiled
during the Kickstarter campaign.

Will the miniatures be in plastic, resin, or
metal?
The Confrontation Classic miniatures
will be in plastic. Metal and resin have
been discarded from our thoughts for the
following reasons: metal, due to its weight,
would have dramatically increased the
total of shipping fees. Resin requires longer
production delays than plastic, which is
incompatible with our determination to
deliver this project without an unreasonable
delay. In any case, our goal is to offer quality
game materiel, adapted to the requirements
of modern miniature gaming.
